Cogent Applicant LiveScan CLS-i3 System
Weighing less than 6 pounds, Cogent’s Applicant LiveScan CLS-i3 features a scanner housed in a slim, small, and lightweight sturdy casing. The device features capabilities for capturing high-quality rolled and flat prints in a fast, reliable, and easy-to-learn way. You can set up the Cogent LiveScan workstation in just a few minutes. Only a USB cable is required to connect the scanner to the notebook computer or equivalent desktop PC. The fingerprint capture software guides operators through the capture process, with on-screen displays that help the user properly center the print during capture. A message box at the top of the display tells the operator if there is an error or if the print quality is unacceptable. A display at the bottom corner of the screen shows the operator which finger is being captured. The Federal Information Processing Standard FIPS 201 for Personal Identity Verification (PIV) has set the current standards for biometric capture, storage, and transmission.
