MiY-Card & MiY-Card GOV: Multi-factor Outdoor Biometric Access Control Reader
MiY-Card is 3M Cogent’s latest outdoor multi-purpose, multi-factor biometric access control reader. It is a highly sophisticated, accurate, and customizable biometric physical access control terminal that is designed to perform fast authentication and efficient entry. MiY-Card enables multi-factor identification that combines contactless smart card, biometric fingerprint technology, and numerical pin to offer the highest level of access security available.

As new security standards emerge, companies are looking for a security product that meets current standards. 3M Cogent’s MiY-Card product allows them to meet current standards and easily conform to changing standards without having to replace their access control readers.

The ground-breaking “Make it Yours” application development platform allows third party customization of almost any part of the product leveraging future technologies as they are introduced. 3M Cogent’s SecurAPI has over 500 functions to create various types of workflow with the existing hardware or third party hardware via the secure USB port.

The MiY-Card’s outdoor design features an Ingress Protection Level (IP) 65 with built-in TLS encrypted Ethernet and PIV-approved matchers, scanners, and contactless CHUID readers.
