3M Cogent's Mobile ID Solution
3M Cogent is the industry leader in providing an end to end mobile identification solution from front-end mobile biometric handheld devices and capture application to the regional Mobile ID server to "store and forward" all the mobile transactions to a backend automated biometric identification system.

Our full product suite brings the power of a full scale AFIS to the officer's hand by providing access to invaluable information such as positive identity verification, arrest records, restraining orders, and wants and warrants.

Mobile handheld devices are available in various models that capture only fingerprints to models that include multi-biometric capture, such as fingerprint, face, and iris. The breadth of our mobile handheld products reflects our relentless effort to help our customer overcome their various operational challenges.

Our MobileID application can run on a commercially-available smartphone with compatible OS, BlackBerry® or our own biometric mobile handhelds. MobileID software formats the captured biometric data into a NIST standard transaction records and transmits it to a remote AFIS over a wireless network.

100% web-based, Web ID's flexible architecture can be used with our Bluetooth enabled fingerprint scanner BlueCheck II or USB powered optical scanners. Web ID can be integrated with other third party scanners via ActiveX controls. Biometric data are submitted to a remote AFIS over a LAN or WAN network through the secure Web ID page using a standard web browser.

Depending on the existing IT network and infrastructure, users can use with our MobileID or Web ID application to perform in-the-field real time identification. Our Mobile Identification solution is designed to be modular, scalable and cost effective.
