Cogent Mugshot System 2.1™
The Cogent Mugshot System 2.1™ (CMS 2.1)™ is a full-featured, easy-to-use, automated mugshot photo imaging software system. CMS 2.1 offers advanced features in an easy-to-use system to build and maintain a mugshot booking database. It supports a wide variety of mission needs and can interface with AFIS, LiveScan, and LiveID systems, including a number of Cogent’s products (CAFIS™, Cogent LiveScan, and LiveID™). CMS 2.1™ provides a simple, yet powerful user interface to capture, maintain, and organize digital photo images and associated demographic information including important “Physical Demographics”; for example, missing, crooked, or stained teeth. The “Physical Demographics” can be used as search parameters based on a witness descriptions of suspects to create suspect records, lineups, and wanted posters.

With its powerful searching capability, including advanced “fuzzy” matcher, CMS 2.1™ instantly finds candidate image sets for a suspect. The system provides a high degree of flexibility to conduct searches that are as inclusive or exclusive as required. The software has an intuitive, user-friendly graphical user interface, so that processing lineups is as simple as bringing witnesses or victims to view lineups on the display or by printing a lineup for review.

CMS 2.1™ is available as part of a complete booking system or as a standalone mugshot information system. Customized integration with CAFIS™ (Cogent's Automated Fingerprint Identification System) and Cogent's LiveScan and LiveID systems allow agencies to tailor a system to meet their operational requirements. CMS 2.1™ advanced features and integration capabilities improve and enhance the criminal booking process. By sharing a common database structure, entry of redundant data entry is virtually eliminated at sites where the system is purchased as a complement to existing booking systems.
