Identity Management, Security, and Privacy
Cogent Security Solutions provides services and systems that focus on authenticating the identity and access privileges of employees and citizens. Our solutions enable clients to ensure that data, systems, applications, and facilities
operate with a level of controlled access that corresponds to the relative risks of loss or damage.
We accomplish this by offering programmatic and hands-on technical expertise in the technologies used to create the latest identity vetting, identity management, and credentialing systems that comply with strict new federal initiatives, including Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 12 and the Real ID Act. Cogent is a GSA-approved provider of Personal Identification
Verification (PIV) Integration and Managed Services to federal and state government agencies.
Cogent Security Solutions is developing e-authentication solutions in association with the concept of Federated Identity Management. This will allow citizens to use electronic credentials issued to them by one entity (for example, their bank) to
authenticate their identity within another web application, such as veteran’s benefits. This exciting new concept has implications for all Cogent clients using web applications and web portals.
Our staff includes security and privacy experts who ensure that Cogent’s systems and clients comply with the most recent security and privacy standards.
Cogent Security Solutions provides a range of identity and information services and solutions, including:

• Ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to data, systems, applications, and/or facilities
