WeCARE - Web-enabled Childcare Attendance and Reporting System
The Web-enabled Childcare Attendance and Reporting System (WeCARE) is a comprehensive, role-based
system that is easily customized to meet our client's business requirements for managing subsidized and nonsubsidized
child care programs. This system provides automated attendance tracking, case management, payment,
and reporting functionality in an easy-to-use interface.
Time is valuable to working parents, and WeCARE is designed to work with today's busy schedules. WeCARE is
designed with an intuitive interface so that parents, legal guardians, and providers can quickly learn the system.
Our time and attendance system has been integrated with options such as smart card, biometric, and one-touch
technology that allow users to be processed quickly and efficiently. The combination of these key considerations
and technologies provides a greater level of control in implementing policies that allow only authorized personnel to
access client records while ensuring hassle-free, accurate, and time-saving benefits.
WeCARE assists agencies in reducing risk and cost by automating the check-in and check-out process to:
- Increase productivity by automating the reporting of attendance hours
- Increase the speed of payment processing
- Increase accuracy in time tracking and payments
- Reduce fraudulent attendance reporting
- Reduce errors created by manual data entry and calculation of attendance hours
WeCARE is developed using a service-oriented architecture that enables 3M Cogent to quickly and easily customize
the system to our customers' needs. Additionally, our system can integrate with existing systems via web services or
file transfer to import and export client and attendance information.
The WeCARE application supports a variety of platforms. Our flexible design approach fits
into various existing architectures or can be implemented as a new enterprise system.
- Client-Server: In situations where 24x7 connectivity is not available, preferred, or system redundancies
are required, WeCARE captures and stores transactions locally, and periodically synchronizes results. This
approach increases uptime and reduces manual data entry.
- Web-based: As a web application, data that is collected on client machines is stored real-time in a central server,
instead of stored locally. This Internet-based technology provides data-sharing configurability, global reporting, and
seamless data replication across multiple locations.
- Mobile Solution: WeCARE Mobile processes transactions using various mobile devices and platforms so providers
can check children in and out anywhere. For example, for before and afterschool care, WeCARE Mobile allows
check-in/check-out at the point of transportation drop-off/pick-up. WeCARE supports biometric, smart card, and
magnetic stripe data input.
